Collection: PAPPAS
After a series of significant releases and performances alongside renowned acts such as Warhola, Tsar B, and Jaguar Jaguar, Wouter embarked on a solo project under the name WZA. Just before the outbreak of the pandemic, he even joined a European tour with Winston Surfshirt as WZA, but despite his dedication, the major breakthrough remained elusive.
During and after the pandemic, as a smaller act, it became challenging to maintain visibility in the music scene, leading Wouter to grapple with feelings of inadequacy. This fear of not being able to match the success of larger acts resulted in a period where he hesitated to release new music, although he continued to write. To distract himself, he turned to sports and other trivial hobbies.
However, Wouter is now back with a new project, this time alongside Ruben Vanhoutte, drummer of Jaguar Jaguar and Tamino. Continuing their musical journey after the conclusion of Jaguar Jaguar, they supplemented their existing repertoire with Wouter's solo tracks. This new musical collaboration, under the name "PAPPAS," focuses on straightforward pop songs exploring themes of love, sometimes drawn directly from life experiences.
